Properties and applications

Metal gaskets can be made from a single metal or a combination of metal materials, in a variety of shapes and sizes.

They are suitable for high temperature and pressure applications.

The most common metal gaskets

The most common are the following:

  • flat solids;
  • solid with round section;
  • ring joint type R (oval and octagonal section), BX and RX;
  • lenticular;
  • double cone;
  • delta.

Ring joint

  • Initially developed for high pressure and high temperature applications; for applications in the oil industry.
  • Today this product range they are also found on valves and piping for high pressure joint integrity.
  • Standard R-type ring couplings are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20.
  • Available in both oval and octagonal configurations.
