XT1 - The most resistant seals

The XT1 is an improving metal jacketed gasket.

Structurally it is much more resistant, as it has wider seams that prevent the “Jacket” from opening.

A layer of “Metal” is added between two inserts of Grafoil, which greatly reduces its extrusion (the lower the thickness of the Grafoil, the lower the tendency to extrude) allowing the gasket to mantain the original width even under high loads, without damaging the edges a phenomenon that often leads to collapse.

The crossbars are made from segments joined together to the circular part by brazing treatment.

This upgraded application between the junction of the crosspiece and the circular part provides a smoothly surface of the gasket as it is no longer influenced by the crosspieces made in one piece construction.

layer of “Metal” is inserted between the two inserts of Grafoil, which greatly reduces its extrusion (the lower the thickness of the Grafoil, the lower the tendency to extrude).

Both of the aforementioned measures entail that the gasket maintains its original width more than normal metal-plastics, even under high loads, without damaging the edges, a phenomenon that often leads to collapse.

Properties and Apllications

  • The particular expedient in the use of the adhesive Grafoil Silver applied on both faces of the gasket, not using corrugated tape, gives it better trim capacity and greater adaptability to any irregularities of the surfaces tightness of the flanges.
STANDARDS REQUIREMENTS
Gaskets are available according to ASME B16.20 and other standard. Custom gaskets are available on request.
